Abu Dhabi Vocational Education & Training Institute (ADVETI) - Abu Dhabi was established by the Abu Dhabi government in 2007 to provide vocational education and training in a range of professional fields to UAE citizens. Located in Abu Dhabi city in the United Arab Emirates we are currently seeking to employ a Teacher Librarian to provide quality library and information services for both staff and students. As well, the holder of this position would be required to plan and conduct course level instruction for students undertaking the Diploma of Library and Information Services.
Qualifications required:
* Degree or post graduate degree in Library and Information Science;
* 5 years experience in the library industry; and
* Recognised teaching qualification.
Experience required:
* Knowledge of library and information services, systems, procedures and current developments;
* Experience and skills in library and information services, particularly information literacy programs;
* Well developed communication, negotiation, problem solving and information technology skills;
* Teaching and assessment experience in a range of areas within the specific discipline;
* Extensive knowledge of curriculum and related assessment practices within the specific discipline; and
* Understanding and ability to implement competency based assessment.
