With 9 libraries and 2 library links the City of Sydney has one of the largest public library networks of any Council in New South Wales.
Our dynamic and innovative Library programs team is seeking a creative and experienced User Education Librarian, who will be responsible for the design, development, presentation and delivery of a wide range of public education and library programs, along with the development of marketing collateral for the City’s Library network. The position is also responsible for the administration and delivery of public and in-house training.
The successful applicant will work with the Library team to enhance the role of the City’s library network in engaging our residents, workers and visitors in the cultural and community life of the City, helping us to achieve our Sustainable Sydney 2030 goals.
This position is based in the CBD at Town Hall House and will involve work across the network branch libraries
Applicants should have a commitment to working closely with all sectors of the community including cultural organisations. Skills in the design and production of marketing collateral and ability to develop and present library based programs are also vital to the role. Degree or professional qualifications in Library and Information Science as recognised by the Australian Library and Information Association are essential.
