THE ROLE:
The role of the Chief Librarian is to plan, organize and manage the services of the Institute Library, establish goals and measure accomplishments against recognized international standards.
Study and make plans to develop the services of the library to meet more effectively for current and future needs for study of medical community and area trends and their relation to the library.
Prepare library programs and budgets.
Direct a public relations program to promote and publicize the library in medical community.
Maintain learning and resources for any new developments in the library science.
THE PERSON:
Master's degree in Library and Information Sciences with more or at least 10 years administrative experience, including a broad background in management, administration, operations of Medical Library.
Good Knowledge in digital assets management, library systems and procedures (Particularly metadata and cataloging standards), exemplary interpersonal and communication skills and an understanding of database systems and operations of library collections.
10 Years (Master's degree in Library and Information Sciences with more or at least 10 years administrative experience, including a broad background in management, administration, operations of Medical Library.)
