Upper Murray Regional Library (UMRL) is a cross border organisation servicing the Councils of Wodonga City, Corowa, Greater Hume, Indigo, Towong, Tumbarumba and Urana.
We are seeking an innovative and dynamic leader for the position of CEO/Library Manager. This is a key position in our organisation responsible for guiding the future direction of library services across our region.
Based in Wodonga on the picturesque Murray River, you will experience the convenience of a metropolitan lifestyle together with all the benefits that rural living offers. The region provides exceptional health, recreational and educational facilities and is the ideal place to work and live.
The broad responsibilities of the position include:
• The provision of accurate and timely advice to the Board of Directors, including statutory requirements, financial policy formulation and planning areas
• The planning and provision of services to meet the information, education, cultural and recreational needs of the member communities and Councils in accordance with the individual Service Agreements with member Councils
• The development of a team of staff with skills and capacity to deliver a library service in a changing environment
• Marketing of the Company and its services to the members communities
• Developing and maintaining co-operative links with other libraries, organisations and groups
• Securing additional funds through grants, sponsorship, donations and the provision of value added services
UMRL currently envisages a part/time position but is willing to negotiate hours of work and remuneration package for the position of CEO/Library Manager with the successful candidate.
